3-DAY WORKSHOP CREATING TEAWARE FOR TEA CEREMONY

Studio invites you to join our three day workshop where we will be creating teaware for tea ceremony. On our first day we will begin with tea ceremony with Lian from Characteas. She will present and explain the origins of tea. We will taste teas and immerse ourselves into the wonderful life of tea ritual. With experiencing and understanding the way of tea, we will begin to collect ideas and start with designs for utensils, that we will aim to create: a teapot, a tea pouring cup, tea cups, a tea container, a vase, a tea pet and a tea tray. On the second day we will start with the basic understanding of two different techniques with which all our teaware will be made. On third day we will finish our pieces with glaze.

All ceramics will be fired at high temperature for you to enjoy making your own tea ceremony.

The workshop is suitable for beginners as well as those more experienced.

3-DNEVNA DELAVNICA IZDELAVE ČAJNE KERAMIKE ZA ČAJNI OBRED

Vabljeni, da se nam pridružite na 3-dnevni delavnici, kjer bomo izdelovali čajno keramiko za čajni obred. Naš prvi skupni dan bomo pričeli s čajnim obredom, ki ga bo vodila Lian iz Characteas. Predstavila in razložila nam bo izvor čaja. Čaje bomo poizkusili in se tako potopili v čudoviti svet čajnih obredov. S tem doživetjem in razumevanjem bomo začeli zbirati ideje za oblikovanje lastnih kosov iz seta čajne keramike: čajnik, skodelica za točenje, čajne skodelice, posodica za čaj, vaza, čajni ljubljenček in pladenj. Drugi dan se bomo spoznali z dvema ročnima tehnikama, ki ju bomo uporabili za oblikovanje vseh sestavnih delov čajne keramike. Tretji dan bomo naše izdelke dokončali z nanosom glazur.

Vsa keramika bo nato žgana na visoki temperaturi, da bo primerna za vašo nadaljno uporabo.

Delavnica je primerna tako za začetnike kot tudi za že izkušene.
